about

_______________________________________________________

"THIS AFTERNOON
STRUMMED
WITH WHITE PINE REFLECTION

EVEN PLUGGED IN
BLUE SKIES
AND EVERYTHING MAY

NOT TOO COOL
NOT EVEN TO BE
BUT ELECTRIC

NOTHING SERIOUS
ONLY LOVE

FOR IT WAS FIRST
INSTRUMENT
AFTER ALL."

credits

released January 2, 2022

Electric guitar, pedalboard, cassette tapes, piano, and photography
by Stephen Del Duca.

Arranged, performed, and recorded
on May 25, May 28, and June 28, 2021.

Toronto, ON, Canada.

A few additonal notes and dedications:
'Dolphin's Dance' makes reference, both in its title and its general structure, to 'The Dolphins' by Fred Neil.
'Ever Unfolding' is for Canadian improvising artist David Parker.
'Through The Shape Of Sound Like A Mouth' is for Ken Brennan. The title comes directly from a lyric he recites on his 'Blue Moon' (Vacancy Recs 013) limited cassette release.

Special thanks to Brian May for my first lessons at age 6, Zio Benny for the guitar, Eric Mahar for inspiring the poem, and Nonno Donato for the album title.
