Wurld Of Xo '42

"Wurld Of Xo ’42 is the unique musical realm that exists inside a rare, mysterious, and otherworldly keyboard computer known as the Wurlitzer WX 42. The physical model Del Stephen performs on, seemingly the only one of its kind, is particularly enigmatic in that nearly all of its control buttons are without any label or instruction. There are no clues whatsoever as to how one might navigate such an instrument. The first time Del Stephen sat down to explore and experiment with this peculiar machine, even his most careful study yielded little in the way of sense. He swiftly decided to abandon rhyme and reason and took a rather improvisational leap of faith, diving headfirst toward the sound, and splashing his hands in every which direction, until it was crystal clear what lay before him: an ever-shifting musical trove of zany melodies, avant-kitsch rhythms, unpredictable key changes, and strange magical effects. The eight songs on this cassette tape comprise the very first recorded collection of the unpredictable spectacle that is Wurld Of Xo ’42."
